Andi Drobny Is a contemporary oil painter also trained in art history, both at Portland State University. He is a Colorado native having lived in the Pacific Northwest for a number of years. His chief influences are Pop (especially Marisol), Ab Ex, German Expressionism and artists such as Anselm Kiefer. Like Kiefer, Drobny’s goals as an artist are to help heal and rectify the soul of a nation with an honest view of its ever unfolding history in the cultural language and forms of the nation itself. And as inspired by Marisol, hopes to bring a playful sense of beauty and joy along the way.
